Frugivorous. Fruits and berries (especially figs), flower buds, nectar, seeds.


Habitat:  Variety of forests, wooded savanna, mangrove.

Incubation: 13-14 days / 1-2 eggs

Social structure: Pairs or flock of up to 50 birds.

Weight: male 285g max, female 225g max

Dimensions: 25-30cm  


Lifespan:  11 max under human care

Estimated population in the wild: frequent to locally abundant


Threats: There are no major threats to this species

IUCN Status: Least Concern
