On the 30th of July, during the routine husbandry of the section, one of our reptile keepers was pleasantly surprised to discover 14 beautiful baby boa constrictors, which have since been placed in a nursing area, where they were cleaned and are doing just fine. They will now be carefully monitored and after 10-14 days they will shed their first skin and then offered their first feed. They are currently 30-40 cm in length and will grow on to be between 2-5m depending on their sex.
