Penguin Awareness Day 

Of the 18 species of penguins that exist, all of them in the southern hemisphere, only 4 species live on ice! 

Annual Art Competition onAfrican Penguins  

The annual art competition for African Penguins encourages children aged 5-15 yrs old to creatively learn about the threats that this species faces in the wild, like overfishing and climate change, both leading to lack of available food for the penguins and other sea animals. It is this topic that we would like to see in your creations.  Please send them to us via email, ensuring they are up to 1ΜΒ per photo/scan (we suggest you use paper >200g). The email is education@atticapark.gr and the deadline is 6pm on Sunday 12th Feb. 

Selected artworks will be featured on our soial media and the winners will win gifts like annual cards, zoo camp places, tickets, interactive sessions, and more. The winners will be announced during the week starting 20th Feb. School grou/classes are invited to submit their artwork!  You can find more information here.
